OP, a few comments...

The correct term for a BMW car is "Bimmer". "Beemer" is a BMW motorcycle.
I sounds like to me you went into this whole search unbiased, which is a good thing. If you're still in your truck after 2 years of test driving sport sedans, I'd say just stick with trucks or SUVs. If test most all of the "C" class sports sedans on the market didn't lure you into the segment, then maybe a sport sedan is not your cup of tea.

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."
