I trade cars frequently because I just can't decide which i'd like to have. '15 M3 --> '16 M3 --> '16 Audi S3 + '16 Camaro SS --> '16 Camaro SS --> '17 Porsches 718 S --> currently: '17 Camaro SS 1LE, '16 Audi S3.
i'll say that unless you go from a really expensive car to a realllly cheap car, the "savings" you get isn't really worth it. so someone buying an M3, realizing they can't afford it and getting something 1/2 the price typically doesn't help out that much. I've seen my payments go all over the place. ultimately, i'm pretty happy with the cars I have now, but I do miss the M3 ... trying to hold out until the next gen is available though! the comp pkg is definitely tempting.
