Did anyone else notice that the shutline for the hood goes above the kidneys, instead of running adjacent to the top of them? Could this be a preliminary caution taken by BMW in case the upsized grilles aren't recieved in a positive manner by the public?

I do recall the e65 getting a revamped grille design after its facelift. Hmm...
