Tuesday 07/22/14's stage (Stage 2) is entitled: "Asuncion - Ciudad del Este: Step Marathon"
The second stage in Desafío Guaraní, which will join Asunción and Ciudad del Este, will be the Marathon stage in this race. It is a stage in which drivers cannot receive any kind of service from their teams at the end of it. Drivers must repair the vehicles themselves upon arrival to the Bivouac and will only meet their mechanics again the next day in Encarnación.
The stage will have 247.10 timed kilometers (and 269.79km of liaison) which are split in two sections. The first one over a fast section but with damaged roads, which will force drivers to take care of their machines and then they will go through typical rally hilly roads.
After the middle liaison, the race goes into a sandy section which then becomes wider across an agricultural region full of cornfields, a typical landscape in that Paraguayan eastern region.
