that is very true in some cases, but in 30K price difference between 2 cars, i sure hope not, i know that you might pay extra for the brand name but not 30K extra, you have to be paying for something else if you decide to drive a 50K car vs. 20K car.

and when you say one car is "better" than the one, it is very subjective. Better is in "faster"? "quality"? "comfort"? "reliability"?, if X5 doesn't beat chevy in all those categories I'd be very surprised
