Well, I have a 16 GTI as my nice weather daily, and love it! I have a 4Runner for my winter ride, but the few times I've been caught out unexpectedly in my GTI, it did quite well, even with the mediocre stock Pirellis. Should be near unstoppable on a set of dedicated winter tires.
