I was looking through the German BMW website and came across a German car magazine (Auto Motor und Sport) article in PDF form that BMW posted in the 750 xDrive section:
The document can be found
here on the right under > Download:
It's in German and in the second last paragraph, they basically had this to say:
-----
The 80 kg all-wheel drive system is for now reserved for the 750i and 750Li. Even the new 760 will initially only be available with rear-wheel drive. However with enough demand, a 760 xDrive could be a possibility in the near future according to BMW, since its twin-turbo V12 including the new 8 gear automatic leaves enough room for additional equipment. Unfortunately there will be no more room left for the new IAS (Integrated Active Steering) system.

I am glad to hear that there IS a possibility for a future 760Li xDrive ...
