Apple lossless (m4a) audio files on the new iDrive
Does anyone know if the new iDrive recognizes and plays Apple's lossless m4a files (from a USB stick NOT through an iPod/iPhone)?
I have almost my entire audio library converted into lossless m4a audio files via Apple's iTunes program and would love to be able to transfer my favorites onto a 64GB USB memory stick and plug it into the car so that I can listen to them when I'm driving.

Can one of those lucky 750 owners on here that are already driving around in their shiny new 750's be so kind and give this a try?!?!
Pretty, pretty please ? I would like to know if the new iDrive in the 7series plays a song ripped from a CD with iTunes and compressed using the Apple lossless codec?!? Store it on a USB memory stick and insert it into the USB connection in the middle console of your 7 series car. It should show up as an external multimedia memory device in iDrive. Then select that device and it should give you a folder view or song list. Select one of the songs you saved to this device and see if it plays the song. If you added ID3 tags, the iDrive should be able to read that too!
