I just got the strangest gift ever from BMW. It was a fancy box with the BMW logo nicely embossed on the outside---about the size of a hardcover book.
Inside this beautiful white box was nothing but a letter and a credit card looking thing with my name on it. The letter thoughtfully explained that this credit card looking thing gives me access to benefits---namely my 50,000 mile warranty. What the heck? BMW wasted all of this packing material and energy on a book with nothing in it to tell me about a benefit that's not supposed to cost me anything anyway. I think BMW's marketing department is jonesing from a lack of heavy duty paint fumes of yesteryear. These new water based paints just don't assist the creativity of BMW's marketing staff anymore. Clearly, BMW has jumped the shark. Note to BMW: I am fully aware my car has a warranty. You already milked that enough. No need to keep squeezing a dry tit. |

Strange....I got a concept artwork for my 135 which makes me happy every time I see it on the wall.I felt that it was a very nice gesture from bmw.It would have been nice had bmw sent a piece of carbon fiber from the upcoming 7 series as a reminder that there is more exciting stuff in store for the future...something to keep the 7 owners roped in.
