2013 LCI - 750 - Oil Consumption?

Hello 2013 LCI 750 owners. I wanted to ask if you had to add more oil between changes?

Excessive oil consumption is a major issue with the last gen N63 (400hp engine), so I'm wanting to know if this has been addressed with the latest version of the N63 (445hp).

Since new in 8k miles I have added 2L (2 quarts, 1 litter is appx 1 qt) of oils so far and presently it is stitting in the middle of the range. I figure it will be another 2-4 liters before the first official oil change. That's a lot imho.

That seems to be the so called "norm," which I agree is ridiculous. I'm actually interested to hearing from owners of the LCI 2013 model. The LCI F01/F02 gets 445hp, so my hypothesis is the oil consumption might be addressed. Crossing fingers.

Don't know yet - took delivery a week ago and onl have 35miles on the clock due to being out of town for Thanksgiving. It's my wife's car so it'll be driven very non-aggressively

In this case I'm happy, it will mean the oil will always be fresh rather naturally

That's right. No need for an oil change when you add that many quarts between scheduled maintenance.

Seems normal. I had the same issue with my A5 when it got delivered, actually I'm still having to top the oil off every 5k.

Is our excessive oil consumption problem a defect?

Volvo and Subaru are catching the attention of this firm for same: www.lemonlaw.com/wordpress

I luck out with my 2012 750Li. So far, I haven't topped it off with any oil. I plan on changing the oil between the recommended changes as well.

My buddy has an E60 M5, he tops it off quiet often. And oil from an M is $15.50 per qt.
