Any chance the M CCC will have an M2?

I'm signed up for it either way. Also doing my first BMWCCA HPDE this weekend.
Not likely for the M2, but you should be able to find out either by calling BMW or checking after the first event.

The M3/4s have been a paid all day event in the past. The autocross event will likely only have 530i models or possibly 540i models as that is the new introduction. The autocross courses have been relatively low speed.

This is a marketing event tour that costs BMW big bucks to put on. Their goal has been to introduce new models to potential buyers in the autocross and introduce BMW faithful willing to pay for what is typically their first M car experience in the all day event. It is typically done in a very large flat parking lot with cones.

I suspect you are going to have a much more involving and fun time at the BMW CCA HPDE event. That has been my experience.

Chill bro. I'm just trolling. I'm very well aware that Michael Jordan is amazing. I just wanted to see what its like to be a troll for a moment. I thought it would be more fun than it was. So apparently most of the events are free except for one which costs $750 approx. I've signed up for a weekend slot to track a 5 series. Wish there were other choices but that seems to be it. (Unless you do the paid event, then you get M2, M3, M4, etc). If you have the best time then maybe you get to track something else against the other drivers with best times. Looks like it's going to be awesome!

I never thought I would want a BMW until I was invited for the Ultimate Driving Experience in Seattle.

I never cared about having a RWD. All I wanted was a GTI in 6 speed. Then I drove the 4 series in this event... oh boy what a car. And then the M235i...
I eventually became a BMW fan

I was a bit down when I heard the car I would be driving was a 5er. I mean, who wants to drive a boat around an autocross track anyway. However, I was quite surprised how well it handled this tight course. Please let us know your thoughts after the event.

Have a great time.

I did the last event held here in the DC area. They space the cars out enough so you can drive hard but not run up to the car that started in front of you. But I caught up to the guy on track ahead of me just after completing the first lap.

But it's lame they haven't been back to the DC area especially with all the demographics.

If it was in South FL I'd be there.

BMW needs to convince me not to move to another brand for my next car. Right now it's not looking good.

I had so much fun at this event today. I overcooked it into one corner and lost some time which I'm still stewing over as I was seven one hundredths of a second behind the winner in my heat.

I hope they do it next year.

I registered for a slot. There are still a lot of slots open for the CA one. Is it possible to register 2 or even 3 times? Or is that a douche thing to do?

My guess is that was the best overall time for the UDE event in Los Angeles.

The person with the best time at each site then competes at PDC West Coast (Thermal) to determine . . . who is . . . the . . . . ULTIMATE DRIVER!

The course we ran the lap record overall for any instructor or employee was around 26.5s so I didn't get it at first thanks for clarifying.
