It's gonna be hard to beat out the S class. Merc really did an excellent job with the 550, granted they stole some ideas from bmw to make it. The styling, technology, & ride are spot on. I'm sure everyone who has had some serious time in the S class would agree.

If I was in the market for a big-body car. The S-class would be first on the list. |

Notice the exhaust is different on both. One has the new 7er exhaust, and the other has the 5er exhaust. Anyone know? Or could it be that one is a 750 and the other a 760?

The 2 different cars with different exhausts both have different license plates as well. So they are just both similarly camo'd testers. That is all. Good catch though.

The interior shots are the most interesting to me.
Cockpit looks more angled toward the driver than I can remember seeing in a BMW in recent times. Perhaps a return to the traditional driver focused cockpit concept is in the winds at BMW. Also looks like new indicator stalks etc on the steeringwheel column, but hard to tell at the angle of the picture. Also looks like something special awaits on the centre console given the covering over it, including the iDrive knob. Exterior looks (from what you can tell in a photo of a cammoed vehicle) to me quite resolved and more fluid. I think this will be a killer car. I agree with other posters about the new S Class, Merc have done some excellent work both inside and out. Looks like some Maybach trickledown to me though, a way for MB to spread costs.

Looked at photos some more, and does anyone else see on the second photo what looks like a third smaller corona ring between the main lights? The ninth (second to last) photo seems to show a third smaller light/corona ring too. Unless my eyes are playing tricks on me.
Perhaps this car will have a 6 corona ring look rather than 4. I don't know if that is going to look too good...

while the s class is a great car, the current 7 series still beats it hands down dynamically (my mom has a sport pack s550 and still misses her 745Li) not to mention the rest of the competition. As how bmw and mercedes always do, bmw will be the best with this new 7 series until the next s class comes out.
Im really liking how this new 7 is looking, and i think it will look awesome once the camo is off (that psycadelic camo tape does a really good job of disguising whats underneath; especially on the trunk) Im also really glad they are obviously taking styling cues from the concept CS with the shark nose and side character line etc. I just hope those wheels are for the base models or are just the wheels destined for europe. Save for the Alpina B7, isnt this the first time in a long time a 7er has shown some tail pipes?? glad for that. Cant wait to see one in person. Looks like a winner |

well since you are from/on planet Mars, i will share my thoughts as i am an Earthling. most likely BMW will take your camera/film and yell something in german to scare you. but if they wanted to they could press charges.
although, these cars are rarely parked in public places so unless you have some technology from Mars, it will be difficult to remove the tape while the car is moving.

Well your right about mb speading costs out on the maybach. But the maybach is actually based on the older s class W140 body style. Thats the one thats was built from 1991-1999. |

I cant believe how bland this is. It's unbelievable. Makes me wanna cry after the CS Concept
It also looks bloated. Look at the last pic, you can see how there is lack of any decent character line along the side of the car, instead you get the side/door panels in bulging out in a convex way.

You are wrong. They will have a high performance version, but it will not carry the M badge. BMW has stated that they will never give the M badge to SUV's.
