That is Nio in China. Big part of their business model. Battery swap on the go. Fresh full battery in 5 minutes. You can also own a cheaper smaller battery for normal use and pay a rental fee for a longer battery for long trips. Swap stations infrastructure is a huge up front outlay.
With battery technology changing, so fast ie solid state, I fear our non leased cars will be near obsolete in 5 years as a 3g phone. But I love the i7 way more than the 760 in terms of rolls Royce quietness and refinement. The effortless power doesn’t hurt either.
