BMW 750e PHEV - Battery Disconnect

Hi All

I will shortly be taking delivery of the above, a 2024 PHEV 750e.
Due to a change in circumstances and work, it seems I will be unable to use the car throughout the year regularly, as anticipated.

At average, there could be 3-4 months between the 2-3 months a year I use the vehicle. I am interested in disconnecting my battery (as I do for my other cars) but Ive been told by BMW it may invalidate my warranty and is plain dangerous. So, could I ask a few (dumb?!) questions:

1) Plain and simple, can I do this? And if so, how? And if I cant, surely there must be some workaround for this?
My main concerns why I wish to do this are: coming home after a long flight to a flat battery, key-less theft, and vehicle fire hazard.

2) As far as flat batteries go, since this is a phev, does it mean no matter how flat the starter battery is, I could in theory plug in the hybrid battery to a domestic socket to give it some juice to at least start? Or is the phev battery completely unrelated to the starter sequence?

3) As far as vehicle theft goes, if the key is not anywhere onsite while away, can the car still be driven away?

My most pressing concern however, is fire hazard. I would hope, in 2024 the chance of this are slim anyway, but I am away for long periods. Any suggestions to eliminate a fire risk are most appreciated.

Thanks.

There is a deep sleep setting you can activate that will essentially put the car in hibernation. It's used during transport and should be sufficient for your need. It's in the menus.

Leave the vehicle plugged in. Do not mess around with the HV disconnect. You can permanently damage HV components by disconnecting it incorrectly.

Deep sleep does not apply to HV vehicles
