Some tear down photos. Actually surprised how clean the factory paint is after I clean it. I will not be re spraying the interior or engine bay.

Lol no way. Not shaving or tucking. Just a tucked engine harness. I want it to look OEM, with a little more modern twist

Respray of the original color. VSM, or vogue silver metallic.

I approve of this
Sometimes I wish I can get back behind the wheel of a high revving VTEC to remember what it was like. Had an RSX-S back in the day, will always remember my first drive home.

What made you go B16B over a B18C? I, honestly, do not know enough about Honda to have a real preference.

But the B16b was only available in this chassis in Japan, so I wanted to keep it sort of specific. Plus the B16b uses the B18c block, just has a shorter stroke. So I could technically change the internals and have a B18c

I didn't know the B16B uses the B18C block. Dang! That motor really is a wonder engine as they called it as such back then. Good luck with your build.

Received my wiring harness today. Waiting on a clutch and motor mounts and I think I can install the engine!

Put the first coat of high heat paint on.
Usually I'm not a fan of painting engines. But this makes it look brand new! I am replacing the oil pan and valve cover.
