Mercedes can look as flashy but they do a better job implementing it because the lights look like they're coming out from behind the dash/trim vs. BMW where it looks like there are actual LED bars on your dash that are illuminating.

BMW has all the techs of S550 and perhaps more sportiness, but the truth is in sales and preferences it always loses to the S550... 7 series needs to think of something better, a radical change to stand on its own

Reminds me of the Peppermill in Las Vegas but I'm not sure why...
Oh. Now I remember why.

Next step: add a foam cannon for that techno-disco rave effect.

Stunning. Feels like a high end airliner.

Yes, it is adjustable. That appears to be on the highest setting. The new iDrive also has the "dimmed when driving" setting included. I will say that in our G11 and F15, the only issue with the light stripes is the reflection on the driver's window that impedes the viewing of the mirror.

I don't see the point in all of that lighting. It looks busy to me.

BMW: How far the (formerly)mighty has fallen
Looks like the pimp mobiles Detroit built in the 70s and 80s. About as crass and tacky as a Vern Fonk commercial. Same Fast and Furious target audience, too.
BMW today has fallen so far from their glory days. But they still build and sell the best M-Power decals on the planet. Bravo!
