No, I'm over my 60D craving. Not worth the hassle for what it offers. My goal now is the 7D. It'll be a few months before I can swing that, though.

Go Mark with the 7D, got to keep up with the DC's and 1's ;-)
The only reason for the 60D would be if you do a lot of weird angle shooting or video and need that screen. I'd do the 7D for AF and the 5D for IQ/ ISO the problem is that I need both and selling a kidney won't pay for a 1DIV

IQ on 7D is actually sharper then the 5DII.

I feel the 5DII is actually a bit out of date now. Its only benefits at this time are full frame, and ISO handling.

Megapixel size is subjective. Besides, Throw 35mm equation into the mix, and there's higher megapixels on the 7D if it were full frame and its still sharper....

One place I can see benefit to 5DII is because it isn't as tac sharp, it can be a little nicer for portrait photography. A little kinder to a blemish.

The 7D has great flash controls with its infra red system, but so does the 60D

The 60D should not be overlooked as a great option it shoots 6fps still 18mp. No buying expensive compact flash cards. And most of the same features as the 7D. Fewer AF points, but still a better AF system then the T1i and 5DII

Rodi,
I have two and my wife doesn't need them anymore so that can yield me a M3 and some nice cameras and lenses....Hmmm, I'll ask her for permission.

it might be worth it to go there for 60,000$

the trip would be paid off upon receiving the 60,000

and just think of the picture opportunities in a different country

taking a shot in the dark...

50mm 1.8
16-35mm 2.8
24-105mm 4
unknown
70-200mm 4
100-400mm 4-5.6

is that close? I didn't try to read the numbers on the side of the lenses.

on closer inspection, the wide angle is looking like a 17-40mm F4 and not the 16-35, correct me if i'm wrong?

it's a nice collection you have going there!

time for a macro, then call it quits

Isn't the last black lens a 100mm f2L?

I thought he had just bought one not too long ago, but it's hard to keep up.

Looks like:

50/1.4
17-40
24-105IS
100/2.8IS
70-200/4IS
100-400IS

and at current prices somewhere north of a cool $5K in glass...

Oddly, even though I've gone through an awful lot of Canon lenses over the years, the 50/1.4 is the only one of these in my current collection (and the 17-40 the only other one I've ever even owned). Vive la différence.

You are correct! Actually, last night I calculated if you bought them new, except for my previously purchased 17-40mm, it's nearly $5700!

I think the 100-400 IS is going back. That thing is a beast... it could easily be labeled a weapon. On the other hand, without even attaching the 70-200 f/4L IS to my camera body, I'm already in love with it. It just feel really good in your hands... great weight balance, construction, size, etc.

All of them were refurbished, and I can't visually see a single speck of anything on any of them (including hoods and lens caps) except for the 50mm f/1.4. The lens itself seems fine everywhere, but the lens cap has some small nicks. On the other lenses, if they told me they were brand new, I wouldn't know know the difference!

I really want to play with them, but I just don't have the time Maybe this weekend I'll take some time out to shoot. I have to check them out thoroughly since I only have 14 days to return any that are broken, not sharp, etc.

If anyone's interested in the 100-400mm lens, let me know... I can pass on the savings I got to you. Otherwise, I'll just return it to Canon for a full refund.

Directly from Canon themselves. They had an additional 15% off sale on their refurbished lenses a little while ago. Sadly, most of the high-end ones are still not back in stock from that sale.
