Again, what's up with the West Coast Customs upholstery in the iX and now the 7-Series?

I'm not gonna lie, in this shade of cognac with the stitching design at first glance it reminded me of a basketball

Won’t even consider this if it has the iX interior controls which it looks like it will. No climate buttons, have to use the touchscreen to change the temp and press Menu to change the fan speed. Capacitive buttons on the steering wheel and around the iDrive knob = hard to use by touch. And no I don’t want to use voice to do all these things instead. Who’s asking for this crap? If BMW stops being the king of ergonomics then I don’t know which other brand would be any better.

+1

Flat bottom steering wheel is also a no-go. Not unless the car drives itself 100% and I never have to touch the steering wheel. Cannot stand a non-circular wheel! Would never buy it because of this even if I were in the market and loved everything else about it. Bad form, BMW! Bad form!

I can't wait to see more of the camo come off of this. I have a feeling and am holding out hope, the front styling resembles the 2002 homage concept. The prototypes seem to somewhat align with that concept, including the slits above the headlights on earlier prototypes and what was shown on the 2002 homage concept.

I am driving a 2022 740i Courtesy vehicle. It does not have a flat steering wheel.

There are no 2022 7ers out, only 2021, this is the next generation (G70) not the current G11/12.

What is this? Looks like a razor blade?! Quick shaving on the go for the executive on his/her way to work?

Nevermind then, didn't realize they had already hit dealers, guess mods should change the thread title.

The G11/12 LCI takes some heavy cues from it, but the G70 is a further evolution of the concept. The rear end especially.

The interiors of all the new cars are garbage. Whoever the put in charge of buttons is a moron. Or perhaps his position was made redundant which would explain why there aren't actually any buttons anymore. This crap has to stop.

The plastics on all of those areas have also gotten cheaper

Seriously though they do look nice and comfy. The design with the stitches running across the whole width, not just down the middle and stopping at the side bolsters as it's become the norm since, do have some 70s-80s French vibe to them (intended or not), especially from Citroën and current DS models 'bracelet seats', and obviously the iX

Is that the new M performance steering wheel…I can't wait for the LED version like on my F82… I just wish they did carbon fibre on the rim at the 10 to 2 position because Alcantara gets really soiled…
