Window Tint Removal Help

Dealer tinted my windows upon delivery in January 2011. Unfortunately, several windows are now delaminating. The work came with a lifetime warranty, but should tint delaminate in four years’ time?

Planning to have the work redone, but concerned that removal of the existing tint may be difficult / problematic and may cause damage.

Anyone know how tint is removed and if it can be done safely, without risk of damage to the windows / leather / electronics on the doors?

Thank you.

Since it came with a lifetime warranty, bring it back to the dealer and let them worry about fixing it.

They use steamer to remove tint. If installer is good, no worries.

Finally got around to bringing my car in to get the tint issue sorted and told they’re only covered during the factory warranty period, which I’m about 6 month past. Could’ve sworn the tints came with a lifetime warranty, and for a $500 job, they should have.

I’ve written the sales manager, but anyone know if Rallye BMW ever covered tints under a lifetime warranty? I’ve had the delaminating problem for a while, but it’s gotten worse. Dealer is now quoting $300 to redo the side windows...
