Why can Porsche have their configurator live the day the car is announced and BMW/Mini tends to have cars on dealer lots before theirs is live?

I'll have mine in Purple with grey wheels, thanks.

I'm probably in the minority here, but apart from the front, I don't like it at all. The turbo side scoops should stay on Turbo models, and 21 inch wheels have no place on a track focused car. The weight reduction is laughable too. I envisioned the RS aesthetic to be a street version of their Cup car. Who said functional can't be simple?

Eh, performance isn't breath taking, missing a manual, redline is lower than standard GT3.

Ring time slower than the old ZR1.

20" and 21" just seems stupid. Have fun finding some track tires. Only choice really is Mich Cup 2.

Here is the configurator

http://cc.porsche.com/icc_pcna/ccCal...fmodelstart%2f

At this point i'd still rather a 997.2 for the money

The Specs arent Mind Blowing.

0-124 in 10.9

Sure it'll be over 100k cheaper but the cars coming out of Europe are going to destroy this
0-200KM:
Huracan - 9.6
458 Speciale - 9.1
488 GTB - 8.4
650S - 8.4
675LT - 7.9 (this will be 400k though)

It will be quite a bit faster as no one is as conservative as Porsche on their times.

Also the GT3 has what 100-200 hp less than any car there, yet it will likely best them on the track and is only one of a couple cars listed that is NA.

I think this is a spectacular car and will surpass the 458 speciale considering how close the reg GT3 is to it.

If they come out with a GT2 its game over for all the cars you listed considering a 997 GT2 RS would be right there with every car listed despite being quite old at this point.

This a a very sweet car. I hear allocations for this car are already gone; they went to all the Spyder owners!

I'm with you in terms of track times. Straight line the 500 hp NA 6 just wont be able to keep up.

I also agree on the GT2 and GT2 RS. Then again those cars will be much closer in price to the ones I listed. So I guess you get what you pay for lol.

Even though the GT3 is stonking fast, and the RS surely a good bit faster, just hard to keep up with 600-700 hp especially those that are turbo and have tons of tq too. But this car is certainly more about lap times and those cars will have a hard time keeping up despite the huge hp advantage.

Same reason why Ferrari and McLaren don't want to run the 918 Spyder. Fear of losing...especially Ferrari considering the p1 lost at Angelsy only to have McLaren supply even stickier tire that if the 918 had the same rubber would have been faster again.

Sometimes I swear you are member "Wolfinwolfsclothing".

It seems like you regurgitate his exact thoughts and posts, that he is constantly repeating over and over again.

Performance wise I was expecting a bit more. Not sure about the styling, including the turbo vents. I think I prefer the look of the normal GT3.

Maybe you should watch Chris Harris' end of year video. The 458 speciale was not to far off the 918 time. So you saying on that same track the GT3 RS will be as fast if not faster than the 918 spyder...
