This is the same company that also threatens to leave F1 each time rule changes are made that they think will adversely affect them.

The gentleman who owns these cars is a very, very good customer who has a very close relationship with the company (he has dozens of them, including an F1 car). I doubt he would be banned from buying another Ferrari if he did allow someone to use his cars for a head-to-head, but at the same time I also don't think he would allow it to happen out of respect for a company he is so close with.

I once read on a car magazine (forgot which one) during a comparo test - Ferrari would send several engineers to make sure everything is set properly (i.e. tire pressure is set for the type of race, weather and temp, different suspension tuning, etc). What I remember vividly is when one of them told the testers, "I don't care if you trash the car as long as we win and get the best numbers".

I think this will cause favorable results vs when another brand asks to avoid any accident at all cost.

McLaren is the one that is really holding back on that since they know exactly what the P1 can run on that track (it's their home track).

Monday: first day to work/school/whatever sucks usually so I'm taking out the P1
Tuesday: second day also sucks but not as bad as Monday so I'll settle for the M4 'vert
Wednesday: I think I spent too much gas when I drove the M4, gotta get back into a hybrid...I'll be happy with the i8
Thursday: Okay, I had sucky days with the M4 and i8 time to treat myself with my 918 to keep it German.
Friday: I think it's time to make some noise...and I'm excited since it's the beginning of the weekend. Let's go with the Ferrari.

Saturday: I'll some manual labor and use my seed disperser/fertilizer that matches my Italian Hybrid Supercar.

Sunday: I've worked for five day and did manual labor on Saturday. I think I need a new car. Hmm...I think importing (and legalizing as a "show car") a Koenigsegg One:1 would be nice for next Saturday.
