New BMW V12 Engine

Just saw this article. Looks promising
http://www.enginetechnologyinternati...p?NewsID=83805
BMW has debuted the new M760Li xDrive, which houses the new M Performance TwinPower Turbo 12-cylinder petrol powerplant.

The 6.6-liter V12 has an output of 448kW/610hp at 5,500rpm, and a peak torque of 800Nm (59lb-ft) at 1,550rpm (fuel consumption combined: 12.8 l/100km [22.1mpg]; CO2 emissions combined: 294g/km).

The high-performance unit propels the BMW M760Li xDrive from 0 to 100km/h (62mph) in just 3.7 seconds to achieve an electronically limited top speed of 250km/h (155mph). With the optional M driver’s package, the speed limiter does not cut in until 305km/h (189mph).

BMW’s M760Li xDrive houses an 8-speed Steptronic Sport transmission as standard. The OEM has optimized the gear changes, which have been specially adapted to the characteristics of the V12 engine, providing more instantaneous downshifts throughout the rev range.

OK, so who's gonna be first to say "Shove this into an i8 and BMW will have its first supercar!!!"?
