Glossy black style 312 wheels
My dealership somehow screwed up my ferric grey wheels when my car was in for some brake service. It almost looked tarnished. The grey turned into a blotchy black and grey. They called a wheel expert and service manager and decided they would refinish my wheels from start to finish by putting them through the same 3 step as when they were originally made. I have a lot of reservation about them being able to redo these and make them look original, so I'm considering telling them to just make them glossy black instead because it's probably less tricky. Anybody have experience with this process and how predictable it is and also what does everyone think of the glossy black look of 312 wheels

I had wheels on my 640 refinished in Ferric Grey from the dealership, content with the results.
IF they do it right, it should look factory finish.

Update, they said they couldn't do them in black, so ferric grey it is. Picking it up tomorrow so I will see how they turn out. Won't be satisfied with anything less than perfect since they are only six months old

Didn't even get to the dealership to pick it up. Service advisor called and told me they looked terrible and they will be sending them to a different wheel guy and he will make them black for me. I've already been without my car for 2 weeks and it looks like another week coming!!!!!

Thanks! It's like having a new car again. That's how dramatic the wheel change was.

I am always curious how big and heavier cars will ride with low profile tires. Especially on rough and choppy inner city roads (I visit Downtown LA frequently so yeah)
