Overall, the 2011 BMW models are not significantly changed. The new models are the BMW 5-series and Alpina B7 along with LCI updates to the 3-series coupe and convertible.

1) "Value Package" now added to the 1 and 3 series
- A No-Charge option that includes leather upholstery and the integrated iPod adapter.

3) N55 to replace the N54 in most cars
  • New engine shares the same aluminum block as the previous engine
  • New cylinder head with VALVETRONIC
  • Single turbo with Twin Scrolls (faster response and at the same time more efficient)
  • Unchanged 300hp and 300 lb-ft torque
  • 7% improved efficiency
Cars which will keep the N54: Z4 sDrive35i, Z4 sDrive35is, 335is and 740i/Li

  • 328i - $37,075 MSRP (includes $875 destination and handling)
  • 335i - $43,525 MSRP (includes $875 destination and handling)
  • 328 xDrive - $38,975 (includes $875 destination and handling)
  • 335i xDrive - $45,425 (includes $875 destination and handling)
  • 335is - $50,525 MSRP (includes $875 destination and handling)
  • New headlights, tail lights, hood, kidney grill, sideskirts, wheels, front and rear fascias.
  • 335i coupe gets new N55 twin scroll turbocharged inline-6 engine
  • New colors: Vermillion Red, Deep Sea Blue, Mineral White Metallic (Mineral White is available starting June 2010).

  • New Competition Package (ZCP) - 10mm lower suspension, 19" wheels with greater offset, remapped Electronic Damping Control and Dynamic Stability Control systems - $2,500

  • On 750i the Convenience Package (a $1,700 value), which includes soft close doors, electric trunk opening/closing and Comfort Access, is now standard.
  • Top-View function that gives a complete camera view around the car while reversing has been added to the Camera Package - $1,200.
  • Active Roll Stabilization is no longer standard on xDrive models but is included in the optional M Sport Package.
  • Alpina B7 featuring twin-turbocharged 4.4 liter V8 (500 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque), electronically-adjustable suspension with active roll stabilization, 20-spoke 21" ALPINA CLASSIC wheels, signature ALPINA Blue metallic paint (optional). Both short- and long-wheelbase models will be offered.
  • ActiveHybrid 7 available with aerodynamically-tuned ten-spoke 19-inch Aero wheels and Bluewater Metallic exterior paintwork.

2011 BMW Z4
  • Z4 sDrive30i - $46,875
  • Z4 sDrive35i - $52,775
  • Z4 sDrive35is - $61,925
  • M Sport Package is now available on the Z4 sDrive30i ($3,900) and the Z4 sDrive35i ($3,500)
  • M Sport Package includes the Adaptive M Suspension, M Aerodynamic body package, 18” M light alloy wheels (with a 19” wheel option on the 35i), exclusive M exterior color Melbourne Red Metallic, M interior trim in Aluminum Carbon, sport seats, M door sills, footrest, gearshift lever, M steering wheel (with paddle shifters if equipped with Steptronic or DCT) and an Anthracite headliner.
  • M Sport Package can be combined with the Exclusive Ivory White Package (which adds Ivory White leather seats and trim on the dash and door panels) for a total of $5,350 on the Z4 sDrive30i and $5,050 on the Z4 sDrive35i.
  • Z4 sDrive35is includes new M Sport upgrades such as M Aerodynamics and adaptive M Suspension. Adaptive M Suspension combines a ride-height reduction of 10 millimeters. 18" wheels standard. 19" wheels optional. New Kansas Walnut leather available.

2011 BMW X5 - Details to be released at a later date

2011 BMW X6
  • X6 xDrive 35i - $57,375
  • X6 xDrive 50i - $68,075
  • Addition of Lane Departure Warning and Active Cruise Control as stand-alone options for $950 and $2,400 respectively.
  • Side View Cameras were added to Technology Package of the X6 xDrive35i making the new package price $2,500
  • Camera package for the X6 xDrive50i now offers both Side View and Top View for a retail price of $1,200
  • Cold Weather Package is now $900 (reduced by $350) due to the deletion of the ski bag and heated rear seats.

Wow, am I reading that right? Value package = leather and ipod at no cost? That's almost 2000$ in savings! I've been trying to decide on whether I should spend an extra 1450 for savana beige or stick with black leatherette. I guess this would make that choice easier.

I have to say I'm a little pissed off that BMW is pulling a NBC move here. Putting out a new model year less than one year from the previous?

I take delivery of a 2010 model I ordered in December in about two weeks. yay.

Actually three model years in less than one year!!! Not good BMW!

that is correct as the 2009 Z4 was available at dealerships the last week of April 2009; now, this April you can have a 2011?????? not that big a deal to me but a little management crazy . . .
