Smartphone Integration

Does anyone know if you need to specifically add "smartphone integration" to a new 7 series order to have the bluetooth work in the car? It says its an optional feature, but I don't know if that is something the factory puts on all cars they build now or not. Thanks.

Bluetooth should work regardless of smart phone integration.

Smart phone integration gives you the ability to install a cradle for your smart phone.

If you're just ordering, be sure to get BMW Apps as well. I have the option and LOVE it.

I have the BMW apps on my iPhone 4 but I have NOT installed the smartphone integration cradle yet. After I install the smartphone integration cradle----will the BMW apps on the iPhone work?? Oh, BTW, I'm driving a 2009 750i JET BLACK Non-Metallic with Black Nappa Leather, Luxury, Convenience, Premium Sound, Sport, Luxury Seating, BMW Assist Ultimate Service with Convenience Plan.

The BMW Apps option only works on cars that were produced from March 2011.

I LOVE this option. streaming MOG, which gives you access to 8 million songs on the fly is amazing. The integration is great. Sadly, I don't believe it can be retrofitted, so definitely make sure you have the BMW Apps on the car you take delivery of.

I have a 2012 BMW 750i and have the snap in cradle. I borrowed my co-worker's cradle he has in his 5 series. It charges the iPhone 4s I have in there but it does not recognize the smart phone integretion. Can anyone assist me?
