I would just go out 3-4x more than what you usually do. Go out alone during lunch or after work. Maybe go out on a date at night. Do some of the stuff you always wanted to do. (cycling, take car out to the circuit, sports, etc). Do some DIY on your house, car, etc. Biggest thing is, DO NOT take your exgf back. I hope you find younger, smarter, and more attractive girl.

Go travel. Take 2-3 weeks off and go somewhere you've always wanted to. It will keep you busy.
Breakups are always hard. But just think of it this way: if she's out there having and such, why should you be moping around at home? It is only hard because you realize it's going to be different without someone there by your side. You were doing fine before she came along, why should it be any different now? Think of it like job interviews- every no (or break up) you get just means that you are one step closer to a "yes" (finding the one). |

I know we don't see eye to eye on Audi, but the most important thing is for you to keep your mind busy. I always give the same advice: get in your car late one evening, windows down, some sad music on and just cry it all out of your system. Pull over, look at the stars, and just take it all in. You'll feel a lot better. Then man up and get over it and focus on activities to keep you busy and don't look back. I dare say we've all been there at some point.

"Suggestions"
Don't shop around for girls - or said another way, don't date. Find the right girl. Marry her. Have kids. Buy 2 houses. Get M4. Live happily ever after. I never dated - my wife is the only girl I've kissed and done such things with lol. The off topic board makes it seem like a happy life is so elusive |

Aw, sorry to hear. You gotta keep busy. Go to the gym, try new activities or sports. Reconnect with old friends. And if you can, go take a trip somewhere fun.
And now I'll pretend I'm a "bro" on this board and remind you of the old quote: "the best way to get over someone is to get under someone else". Hahaha

Hey dude, looky here. I was with my GF for 4 years right. We broke up, it was sad and all, but there are plenty of other good looking women in the world. Kind of hard to realize it right away, but don't sit around and feel bad, that's the one thing that will ruin it for you.
Women sense confidence in a man. If you start off now losing your confidence because the relationship didn't work out, it's going to radiate off you and people notice. Just be happy and remind yourself of the things that make you who you are. I had a buddy that did one of those self help things, and yeah it may have helped him out a little bit, but everything he learned from this guy were basic principles that you can easily apply yourself, all the guy did was "coach" him through it. I actually have a book I can email you in a .pdf if you want with a lot of good information, just let me know. |

May have been in jest, but I completely agree. Hit the gym. You will do something positive for yourself, AND you will build your confidence as you start to get stronger and see results.
And date some chicks (online is easy enough). Have some sex. The latter was all I ever needed. |

I've been to some of the Deepak Chopra seminars. At a break I knew he had some good basic info, but nothing earth-shatteringly new and I just needed to be reminded of it. I looked across the room, locked eyes with him, and knew he knew I knew! THAT moment was worth the $200 or so I spent
I attended several esoteric hippy-ish weekend retreats, especially about homeopathy, and again realized it was all in my head, the human mind is just incredibly amazing and extremely powerful. Keep it pointed in a positive direction and the universe WILL come around to your way of thinking and bring you what you need, if not quite everything you desire. |

More than depressed, I'm angry, is that normal?
I'm angry with myself for being weak about it too, I just want thoughts of her out of my head. I feel like she's a selfish, but maybe it was me, what if I really lost on this one? I've been thinking about getting deeper into my hobbies, so I appreciate the suggestions. |
