2022 BMW 740i - platinum warranty or…..

Hi All,

I just bought a 740 and I’m looking to pick up an extended warranty. The BMW platinum warranty (7 years 100k miles) is ideal, but the price seems to be a bit high ($11,500)

I really don’t want to go with a 3rd party company, and not having a warranty isn’t an option.

I’m leaning towards grabbing the platinum, just wanted to see if anyone here has had success going 3rd party.

January, was for Platinum CPO wrap.

I got three five quotes from dealerships all in the same ballpark. Maybe because it’s a CPO?

At 11k, I’d roll the dice, that covers a lot of work.

If 5 dealerships gave similar pricing then yeah, the cpo piece must be major. Thanks!

What i was given by BMW of Camarillo for platinum, 0 deductible first then 250. I was also told there’s a 100 deductible too but I wanted to see the full range.

Yup! 2017 750. No longer in warranty so I see why the costs are high

I went with car shield, 10k a month coverage, as long as i own the car, fully inclusive for 300/mo, and I've used it for 2 major repairs for the B7 already. BAsically i am buying 10k of repairs a month for 300 bucks.. I know you read al the drama out there, but if you know how to manage a warranty and have a good indy shop that also does, you will be fine. I have had over 40k on my F02 completed, and 20k on my G12 B7 already, and my E70 X5M is getting 18k motor covered under warranty too.

$3,800 with no deductible. Exclusionary coverage

4 years/90,000 miles after the manufacturers warranty runs out
