BADASS. You can tune the N54 as much as you want but it will never sound as mean as this V8. So what if the torque doesn't kick in at 1500 rpm, whoop dee doo. This car still hauls ass

Guys thanks for all the the positive feedback. And actually, I've already installed the C&R Heat exchanger, Jon Lund 93 octane tune, BMR Springs and Adj panhard bar. Pulleys in (2.59), and will be installing this Friday with my buddy (owns SC e46 m3 - beautiful car).

As for those who thought I should have just installed a tune, I did!! I had the Cobb AP, with eibach prosystem kit and rogue engineering Spacers, 15mm back and 12 mm front. After the test drive, the gt500 handled and accelerated faster than one with mentioned mods..and it should!

I test drove a good 20 cars before making my decision...vette's, z06, challengers, e46/e9x m3s, 5.0 stang, evo's/sti's, etc.

So the decision I made is obvious. I have a 011 gt500 with the SC 5.4L v8 from the ford Gt. It pulls hard, and screams doing it. I loved my one, and that's why I'm still active on these forums (and bmws for that matter!!) but for now....I'll take my gt500 and smash the pedal, the SC will whine...the exhaust will roar....and the F'in smile on my face will grow bigger and bigger.

I'll drive it like I stole it.

Totally different car than a 135i, tuned or not. Not comparable.

Time to take some videos of you revving.

Just out of curiousity, why did you choose the Mustang over the rest, specifically the Vettes?

He already mentioned price was the reason for not going with vette.

Good idea on the stripe delete btw

Your new 'Stang is SICK! I absolutely love the new Shelbys. Enjoy the hell out of your new car. I personally think the stripes just complete that car but I think it's badass regardless.

Have fun with it... but not too much

congrats.
I used to sell FORDs' way back in 2000. The snake never appealed to me-given I had a S/C E36 M3.
With this revised body style, revised braking, handling, and best of all POWER, I am infatuated with this snake (Lord God forgive me, I am not a satan worshiper) .
Well keep in touch over here.

MediaArtist,

+ 1000 for GT3 RS

As a race against cts-v its pretty close..seems slight edge to ctsv. At least the coupe from what I saw on motortrend...think it was a car length. Not sure how much heavier ctsv sedan is...if any. Would love to see a race with slicks so both of these cars can hook up. I'm not sure about ctsv but my stockers are crap.

As my previous reasons for not going with vette were stated, z06 specifically, there is a bit more. If I was gonna get the best bang for the buck solely based on performance then that would have been the z06..nothing else can beat the value. Plus the z06 looks awesome IMO. But....the interior is cheap, the nav/touch screen isn't near as good as mine, Gt500 sounds better IMO, it rides better, has two back seats large enough for someone you really hate, and my car is newer (than equivalent priced z06 which would be 07...maybe 08 if I'm lucky). And since the Gt500 is my daily, these things seemed important TO ME.

Plus, it takes much less $$$ to mod a GT500. Idk, just a few things to think about before buying you know.

Congrats on the GT500 man. I loved my 135i but I love my tuned 5.0 GT better!

I just Super Snaked my 09. What an awesome move up. I love my SHELBY (with CSM number) GT500 Super Snake. Plants much better and more stable across the board- not to mention the power and the looks. Living in Europe now (SS is in US), I need something that's fun and fits in the small garages here. The 1M seems to be the best choice (if I can get one). You're going to have SO much fun with your GT500! I tracked mine with only the FRPP suspension and power kit and it was a blast. Can't wait to get it on track and strip now! Drive it, enjoy it.

+10. Yea mine has definite problems hooking up in 1st....I even get sideways punching it around 50 sometimes in 2nd (just installed 2.59 pulley and idler pulley). Super snakes are sick. kudos. Think my next mods will be some suspension ugrades and tires.

Hey guys, Just wanted to give an update. After my fun with the Shelby, I just missed the feel of my 135i - or what I should really say is, a BMW. So, I traded her in for an e92 m3. And to be honest, I couldn't be happier. I will post some pics of soon and I'm happy to be back in the BMW community.
