body kit and wheel suggestions

Hi Guys,
Picked my car up almost 2 months ago. After seeing some of the things some of you have done to your cars, i was wondering if anyone has suggestions as far as body kits and who you would trust to make sure it is installed properly. I generally like the way mine came stock, but some of the ones ive seen with either the msport package or alpina kits look really good too. Also, i know certain wheel sizes can have "rubbing" problems. Is it safe to say that 21" are the largest to go without having to worry about it? Thanks for any suggestions.

Central Florida? Are you near Orlando? I know a guy that can hook you up with all sorts of good parts and deals... I also know the best BMW master tech in the area to do all the install work. Let me know.

You can look at the AC schnitzer kit or Hamann but both are expensive and imo don't really flow well with our cars (http://www.schmiedmann.com/7_series/..._-_outside.htm).

I currently have the Alpina front lip, it gives the car a nice, aggressive look.

food for thought:
-m front and rear bumpers
-rd sport front lip spoiler
-ac schnitzer rear trunk lid spoiler
-BMW style 312 21" wheels in either silver, or ferric grey

p.s. i had the same 20" wheels on my 750 when i first bought it. i changed to OEM 21" and i kid you not; the difference - in comfort - was night and day (in the most negative sense possible.) in my opinion, the improvement in aesthetics doesn't balance the scale at all to be honest.
god knows what going up to 22's would be like!

and another thing you might want to consider is changing the chrome mouldings you have around your windows to the 'shadowline' ones.

good luck..

thanks for the suggestions. i was actually considering that style of wheel. Is that the one you went with that caused a rough ride? where is the best place to order the m sport parts?

You can get the full m package from the site sponsor;

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...egoryID=173161

You really can't go wrong with the m sport package, so clean and elegant and really makes the front end of the car pop.

One thing I might suggest is go for the front m sport bumper only, the rear is basically the same as the OEM one and because your car is black you won't be able to tell the difference between the m sport rear and OEM rear. I would only get the rear if I had a white 7er because the lower exhaust piece is black and it gives it a nice contrast.

i went with 21" style 238 - for the so called "classy look" - fail.
i've tried two other 21" oem wheels on friends' cars - same "rough ride" problem.
i've since upgraded to m sport bumpers, so now it's too late to go back to 20" wheels; just won't look right.

i'm told that it might be the oem 'run flat' pirelli tires that are the trigger, as opposed to the wheels.

next week, i'm changing to 21" style 312 wheels, only this time with non-oem, non-run flat Michelin tires. only way to go this route is to buy wider tires (10mm wider on front and rear).

Shadowline trim is not my thing, I like the contrast on the car. Also not really part of what this thread was about either.

Shadowline looks good for a white 7er but I wouldn't put it on a black 7er, it looks cheap.
