Haha! I agree. I'm a BMW fanboy, but I have a hard time believing it puts the S550 to shame.

Did they show/tell you anything about the chassis? Is the carbon fiber weight reduction true? Does it use the great electric steering from M (Servotronic) or the conventional? Is the car all air suspension or still rear-air and front-double wishbone?

Anyways, were you able to get any information regarding V12 engine and M/M-Sport related info? (e.g.760Li M-Sport or some performance-oriented flagship variant)

Also, what about standard features and options?
-BMW LASERLIGHT headlamps
-The new LCD instrument panel (which is the successor to the current Option 6WB lcd instrument display panel)
-Video display key (like in the BMW I8)
-The rumored BOWER AND WILKINS sound system (and how many speakers)

And are there any pros and advantages to the LEATHER ENGINE COVER

Hehe thanks
I believe the laser lights are standard
There are 14 speakers and sounds amazing

All this lane departure/blind spot/bla bla crap - nothing but endless excuses for lazy and poor driving habits marketed as safety BS.

Interesting.
The rumors were that Laser Light Headlamps were optional equipment while Feature 552 regular LED headlamps would be standard.

If what you say is true in that Laser Headlamps are standard, then that would be generous of BMW to do that imho.

I see.

Will there be multiple audio system variants and options for this car? (In the current F01 7er for example, you had three choices : Standard BMW Business base audio, Harman Kardon and Bang and Olufsen)

Uhh, many lane assist systems in other cars already steer the car back into the lane when you drift. What's new and amazing about that? I think Toyota introduced wireless charging with the new Camry.

Owned.

Sure the S might be a nice car but I find it pathetic how people are hating on the 7 without even giving it a chance. If you love Merc so much go buy one. I for one am happy with what I've seen and heard about the 7 so far. It'll be a nice full size sport sedan. I would much rather drive a 7 or Panamera and be driven in an S/class or A8. But then again I'm 22 so I'm sure older folks will feel differently.

Thank you for the info OP! Can't wait to see the car!

That and probably since I believe Miami is one of the largest 7 series markets in the world

As a BMW Genius, the flame that I had was kind of dying recently with the offerings of BMW. I'm hoping this is the car that helps that passion make a return.

Would that make the 750i lighter than a 528i?

"It puts Mercedes S550 to shame"

This can't be serious, and doubt it is even remotely possible. Both are on par, great cars.

Even though I'm a detractor of the new 7 series, I have to admit maybe we should be a little more optimistic. I'm sure the 7 series will be a great car... Just maybe not as good as the S class
