Ordering 2011 750Li XDrive: No side/top cameras till Sept production?

Hi all,

My friend is ordering a 2011 750Li XDrive in the next couple of weeks. The dealer has told him that the side/top cameras would not be available until September production on the 2011. Additionally, they would only be able to get the rear camera (Price: $400). According to the ordering guide, the Camera Package (rear, side and top cameras goes for $1200).

Is there any truth to this? Has anyone heard anything similar?

I find it hard to believe, as at the very least, the side cams should be there, since they were there the year prior....Unless they are switching systems completely.

The dealer is correct. Only the rear camera for $400 is available right now. I have a 2011 F01 on order as well, and my dealer told me the same.

same here. No top view, sides, nada. I am ordering the activehybrid (F04). Should be here in May ...
