addy27 , PM me and let me know what it would take to get everything put into the mail...

Will have to look at what it takes to access the in-tank fuel pump upgrade to pair with the bigger intakes you are offering...both my G12 and F02 have power adjustable back seats, and have yet to figure out how to remove the bottom seat cushions, even with TIS.

Hope that my tired N63 is up to the challenge, but 600 HP from an F02 chassis is insane.

The in tank fuel pump ALPINA B6 specific can be found here: Its not common so might have to get it from the dealer IF at all it fits into the B7/F01/F02 Gas tank.
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=16_1057

This pump is probably very similar to the M5/M6 in that it is a 3-phase pump. So the corresponding EKPM module can be bought pretty cheap from fleabay and then programmed to fool into thinking its in a B6:
https://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/sho...diagId=16_0943

And last are the airboxes and nostrils which I have.. the only piece I dont have is one of the inlet scoops (either #2 or #6 in this diagram):

addy27 The fuel tank sender pump for the F06 also has an additional item, a temp sensor, leak diagnosis module (P/N 1613733358), $179.91, which would be required for the fuel pump control unit.

This item I've listed might put this Mod on hold...as I look into other items that may be required to make the flash "work".....But if the price is right, for all the plastic tubing you do have, and the air boxes (be nice if they have the filters already), I'd probably go ahead and pull the trigger and buy the package...unless you want to put it up for sale in the classified section of the forum....if it's already there, mind sending me a link?

Cheers!

As posted earlier, I've got about $1000 worth of plastic for the front end coming in this next week from the BMW dealership....shouldn't take too long to get in installed and get the car over to an alignment shop....if I'm successful in "unbending" the transmission oil cooler....else I'll need to order it from the dealer for $500 and another week to ship.

Funny story, I have an almost complete front cooling setup that I also pieced together but my project is also on hold due to the Transmission Oil cooler...since Alpinas have the front mounted air cooled one vs the regular N63/TU have the smaller oil to water type cooling radiator, next to the radiator fan. Alpina also had a bigger oil cooler on the passenger side and the same coolant cooler as the M5/M6 on the driver side in front of the wheel. I was on a mission to replicate the Alpina cooling system on my car but this transmission oil cooler and the pipes needed for it have put that project on hold too.

I'll check my garage for all the Alpina Airbox related parts and dig up my invoices for it and will msg you once I gather them.

addy27, I am absolutely amazed at how many parts are different on the Alpina vehicles compared to the standard BMW counterparts.

The reason that I had to spend $1000 on front end pieces was because just two pieces that support the transmission cooling ducts are completely different from a standard 750 or 760.....this was painful, but I did buy the 2014 F02 B7 as a project to "restore", so I'm obligated to complete the vehicle as it left the factory....

I bought this particular vehicle because:
  1. it has every option you could get for an LCI F02 Alpina B7
  2. it has an Individual exterior color (Estoril Blue II Metallic)
  3. it has an Individual interior leather color (Opal-weiss/black)

Thanks for your input to the thread.

BTW, not to derail your thread completely...but I also have a full EVO RSE setup sitting in a shelf (brand new screens and brain) for G12 cars. If you plan to retrofit the NBT EVO in the front, you have a choice to easily install the EVO RSE as well without seat modifications as you only need to swap the screens and add OABR wiring between EVO and EVO RSE. BUT then this car will almost be a twin to your other G12 B7 and maybe even beat it in terms of loaded-ness

Lol.....you are going to help empty my wallet.

My G12 B7 does NOT have RSE, but does have the rear executive seats (power, heated, massage, and ventilated...with the center Samsung tablet controller, but it does not have the rear monitors, and was looking at the 12.1" tablet pairs from China for $500.

I'd be interested the G12 RSE too.....and hopefully it comes with a remote control. The F02 RSE is missing the remote, and the replacement is over $350 from the dealership (and even more on eBay)....but comes in 3 frequency flavors, which I have yet to determine which one I have (315MHz, 434MHz or IR wireless)....and my BMW headphones are wired...so I'm good for now on the F02.

Thanks!

Installed Individual wood handle grips...and not sure why the F02 didn't come with them in the first place....oh well, it was only $50 for all 4.

The G07 XB7 did not come with woodgrain handle grabs, so new handle grabs in Alpina Myrtle wood are on order ($1200'ish for all four).

So while I wait for some parts from the dealership to be delivered, I figured I'd get the engine bay cleaned up.

No matter how much you detail the engine bay, it could always still use more attention....almost want to drop the drivetrain and completely clean the whole engine bay...maybe I'll wait until the engine needs to be pulled for mechanical reasons...so this is as good as it will get...wait, I see another dirty spot on the right front strut support....

Before and after:

BMW dealership parts came in early...and spent all day installing all the parts.

The biggest job was unbending the transmission oil cooler, which required me to remove it from the car completely. Lost about 1/2 a quart of transmission fluid, which is about $50 a quart.

Got it sort of un-bent enough for it to mount under the radiator with all of the new plastic panels and air ducting, but transmission tubing into the oil cooler is leaking (old O-Rings), so the paneling will need to come back off when the new O-rings and transmission fluid come in from the dealership.

Took the vehicle out, and it is road worthy again.

My night vision went out before removing the bumper. Comes on for 1 second, then shuts off.....Need to look into this with ISTA, and will go ahead and start addressing the electrical issues.

Project is coming together.

love how Alpina also made a nice plastic duct that takes air from the front and scoops onto this transmission oil cooler.. BTW..I'm intrigued. Int the photo at the left side, that little green dot on the radiator. I've seen it on other Alpina radiator parts too..I wonder what that little plastic thing means.

Interesting. Didn't even see the "green" thing when taking the picture.

I will say that the front end of the F02 B7 shares almost nothing with an F02 750Li.

- 17117980109: Radiator, Primary = B6/B7 Alpina only
- 17517984628: Coolant heat exchanger for intercooler = B6/B7 Alpina only
- 17112284277: Radiator, Left Aux = B6/B7 & ///M5
- 17117601909: Fan housing with fan = B6/B7 & 760Li
- 17217966251: Transmission Oil cooler =B6/B7 only
- 17217980110: Power steering cooler = B6/B7 only
- 17217984389: Engine oil cooler = B6/B7 only
- 17517630897: Charge-air cooler, 1-4 = B6/B7 only
- 17517630898: Charge-air cooler, 5-8 = B6/B7 only

This is not inclusive of the plastic supports, plastic air ducting, rubber hoses, etc. that are different on an Alpina and do not have the same P/N as a standard 750Li.

Yeah, the setup is different completely because the intercooler coolant radiator is much bigger upfront, which displaces the steering oil cooler to be pushed up front, the Engine Oil Cooler is bigger, the Coolant radiator in front of the driver wheel is also bigger but that one is shared with the M5/M6. Because that cooler is bigger, the Aux Pump is not pushed to be behind the main radiator and that is the location where the transmission oil cooler is on the regular n63.. so totally modified front end..Just makes you realize how extensive the development process is for Alpina as compared to any other tuner out there. Oh the radiator Fan is also 1000W just like the M5/M6.. but that is one you can retrofit easily in any n63 to help cool faster.

I'm emailing you some Alpina docs that may prove useful as you go about this project

addy27 Thank you very much for the PDF's. The Part's Catalog will come in very handy.

I've not seen any Alpina's in the USA with the Alpina pinstriping. If I end up putting it on, and the PDF's will come in handy, for both the F02 and G12.

Cheers

While suspension parts come in, I've started on the interior.
  1. Ran leather cleaner on all leather surfaces, front to rear
  2. Removed ALL interior black plastic parts and wood trim on the center console and dashboard
  3. Disassembly all black plastic pieced down to their individual components and they will be cleaned, reconditioned and/or replaced as required. This is the only way to ensure 10 years of "gunk" from all surfaces and seams/cracks/crevices are removed. Any other way is "not good enough".

The doors and rear center console will shortly follow and while the hard plastic pieces are out, I will treat the leather, and touch ALL leather imperfections with leather filler and finish it off with color-matched dye, reinstall all parts, then steam clean all surfaces.

Before reinstalling the wood trim, they will undergo a good polish, and the center console trim is the worse, it may require a 2000 grit wet sanding prior to polishing. Once in, the interior will look 10 years brand new......

So did the whole interior.

I will wait for it to warm up a bit to touch up the leather.

Repaired the center console armrest lock. Totally messed up when I bought the car, non-functional, jammed, and unsightly.

A new "used" cylinder lock body was required ($20 eBay), and the lock pins transferred from the original cylinder to the new cylinder so that it works with the original vehicle key.

Looks great, and took about an hour start-to-finish.

Front contrast decal installed on the front spoiler.....yes, the bumper is very dirty, but the raised lettering area is cleaned.

Exterior paint correction is next weekend, after brakes are done......

Unfortunately, this car sits outside 24/7 as a daily driver.

I can't be the only one that "MUST" wash the inside of the wheel....every time. The previous Owner never cleaned his wheels....

Can't wait to hit the brakes this next weekend.

Each wheel well is going to take me two hours to clean up:
  1. Wash and dress up the black liners
  2. Clean up the brake caliper
  3. Clean up the rusty rotors that still have a LOT of like in them
  4. Clean the inside of the wheel

....repeat for the other three wheels.
