Removing/ replacing headlight

Looking for a DIY to remove/ replace an f01 headlight. Anyone have any suggestions? I've searched high and low but haven't been able to find anything.

Remove the wheel well liner, front bumper, and anything that is preventing you to get to the headlight bolts. There should be 2 bolts on top and 2 bolts on the bottom of the headlight, holding it. Don't forget to unclip all wiring. Have a save place for the bumper so it doesn't scratch. Good luck.

Thanks. A mechanic friend of mine suggested the same thing. I was hoping to find something more detailed, but I don't think that's going to happen. Nothing I can't figure out with some tinkering.

When removing things from your car, keep in mind to not to use excessive force to remove parts. There's always a hidden screw or clip. Take your time, have a used egg carton to track screws qty and location. If you can, use masking tape to secure the screws to the hole after you remove it so you don't forget where they come from.

When installing, don't strip any screws. Use the force moderate to the bolt head size. It should be an easy 2hr job for a first timer.

If you don't feel confident, take it to a German car body shop. They will charge you about 1hr ($75).
