There is no threat whatsoever. The reliability of these cars is well known in Europe. There are so good that nobody wants them. Fiat at its best.
It is a good contender in "Least reliable Cars" list.

Maybe I am one of the ones with not so many problems with his BMW's, but there is no comparison between the two. BMW might not be super reliable but are reliable.
Alfa is not even at the DECENT level! Try an issue or two per month, sometimes two per week!
As an ex Alfa owner and living among them in Europe with plenty of examples in my family members and friends I can tell you that you have no idea. Where I come from we call Italian cars gigolo: they might be appealing but disappoint you after. A lot.

Haha yes. I feel a 2 year lag on this car may be enough for me to see what's up with it. See also, if the kinks aren't worked out with a well performing release 2 years in to the life cycle, I'll skip it entirely.

No pics/video, didn't happen..

But hopefully some track times and instrumented testing will come out to either support or put the nail in this coffin.

So far a few people(Reviewers) have said that it didn't feel like it had 500HP, which could be the case or if they have tuned it to feel like a NA motor like in other Ferraris with limited torque(s) in different gears. How well it handles will be another thing, however one thing is certain it's a step in the right direction for Alfa Romero.

Alfa Giulia 2.0 Multiair review

This is a review of the base non-diesel version of the Giulia. The European version has 197 hp, the US will be more powerful with 276 hp.

Bullshit... I owned Fiat, Ford, BMW, Audi... nowadays they all have lots of small problems!

And anyway, you can also check on internet that there are lots of Alfa Romeo 147 with 350/400.000 km

EVO drive of the QV... Looks like he's having a ton of fun. Shifts from the 8-speed auto seem to be very quick indeed! The engine looks to be revving very cleanly as well (well it's a 488 gtb based engine)

You will never see that footage because if Alfa managed that time it was with a vehicle homologated for the 24hrs of Nürburgring. More likely it is a 'constructed' time. If anyone is able to get a stock version of this car around the Norschliefe in 7:39s, I will eat my shoe on YouTube. The fact that anyone believes such incredible bullshit is proof positive that we're living in the end of the golden age of driving.

Maybe it's a compilation (sum) of all 'best of' times of several sections of the Nürburgring Nordschleife, rather than a time achieved in 'one take' ?

Official Ring lap time should be a 'one take' time.

Anyway, I think the auto version can be 2/3 seconds faster than the manual... so maybe it will be 7.37

The only problem right now is to hire the track for the footage... very expensive, maybe they will wait to see if the car sells well and then... shoes for dinner

Huge, major props to Alfa for using proper shifting paddles that are NOT attached to the steering wheel.

This is how all cars should be done; it's not only better but safer as well.

Lastly, I absolutely love the QV and would not hesitate to get one a few years down the road if they're still around. I made the mistake of driving a 4C and fell in love with it, but alas practically does play a role in my life

You and I both know that it is absolute bullshit to even imply that this car is 1 second slower around the 'ring than a 458 Italia. It is not possible. If it was possible, you can bet that Alfa would have videoed something that would catapult them to the front of modern vehicle design. There is no video because it didn't happen. I think my Converse are quite safe on my feet.

I worked at a place in Manhattan that specialized in custom exotic cars. You wouldn't believe how many Ferrari owners complained about the fixed paddles.

This interior with the Guilia rear and the jag XE front now that would be a contender! They've done a good job copy-pasting a lot of the best features of all of their competitors into one package I must say!
