All I can say is that after YEARS of planning and development AND seeing what Benz has unleashed, the G11 has it's work cut out for them! Hopefully they have addressed the plethora of issues that has plagued the F0 since it's release...

Out of curiosity, what "plethora" of issues exist with the F0 series? My F02 has been phenomenal.

First and Foremost: FUEL INJECTORS. I and MANY owners I know have had them replaced. In fact, there has been several revisions to them since 2009.
Oil Pump
Transmission

Are a few major items that come to mind.

Were these problems limited to the V8 (750)? As I head into my fourth year of ownership, I guess I should knock on wood and hope for the best with my I-6 740Li. I've got nearly 85K miles on him and have had zero problems (mechanical or otherwise). The most frustrating thing about the car is something very trivial, in the scheme of things. It's the wheel / tire combo. The low profile 20" runflats are soooo fragile. I've had to have several perfectly good tires (with regard to tread wear) replaced due to sidewall bulges caused by hitting potholes. Other than that, all's been good.

Absolutely these are all V8 issues.

Be happy.

I hope that the V12 engine (BMW N74) won't have any issues.

Granted, one of the rumours say that the output will match the current Rolls Royce Ghost V Specification.........which means that power output will be at least 600 HP minimum.

It's a tall order but I hope that no problems will arise (at least anything major)

Nope doesn't look accurate at all. The front is 2 series grill that are a little bigger. Headlights aren't that shape as well. Side of the car is what the current 7 series looks like and they completely changed the body. Next generation 7 will be a great sport and luxurious car no doubt.

True, but to me, the kidney and headlights format are pretty much in line with the picture the OP posted of the mule.

Agreed. The headlight treatment does match the cammo'd shots we've all been seeing. All told, the front end looks pretty mean. Can't wait to see the unveiling. It's either this car or an MB S550 Coupe that'll replace my existing F02 7-Series.
