Waxy Film on Windshield after Detailing

Dealer detailed my car, but note picture attached...

When I went to fill up at a gas station after picking it up, I tried to squeegee the windshield, as there were streaks on it, but the glass wouldn't clear, as it now has a waxy film to it. I've since tried to clean it with rubbing alcohol and Windex, but neither has worked!? Anyone know what the waxy film might be or how I can go about removing it!?

Never had this problem before. :|

Still have what's shown on my windshield in the first picture above. Dealer previously polished out similar from my driver’s door window, but determined that the vertical lines on the other door windows are from tint delamination.

My windshield has gotten a little better since, but I’d like to resolve same and the dealer just wrote this:

“That work was done via a small orbital polisher and a glass glazing compound. Its hard water staining, so it needs to be removed with an abrasive compound. The technician who did that work was doing so only to prove what it was by cleaning up a piece of the glass. This is not our normal scope of work, and at our hourly labor costs it makes no sense to do that work here. My recommendation is to find a glass shop that does window polishing and have them do the work for probably less than a hundred bucks. Look for a small mom and pop type shop.”

Anyone know of any shops on Long Island near Manhattan that would do same for my windshield?

Thank you.

Anyone know if it’s okay to use either WD-40 or AFTA to clean glass on our cars?
