New recalls - 3 for me 2023 i7

So called Genius to troubleshoot esim and figured out I have 3 open recalls

One, CCU needs to be replaced

Two, hood insulation needs to be checked?

Three, integrated brake system man need to be replaced

-"INTEGRATED BRAKE: The Integrated Brake (IB) system may not have been produced by the supplier according to specifications. If the IB system was not functioning properly, a warning lamp and message will be displayed in the instrument cluster."

CCU what murdered my old iX M60. Bravo BMW!

Just playing, car is awesome but wtf lol

i hope not but the ix certainly had its demons

we will see!

the charging warnings i got repeatedly with the ix haven't been present, so the CCU recall was a surprise.

fwiw, i only found out about these by calling bmw. only the brake issue is a recall that is visible to me on bmw and nhtsa sites.

so perhaps more of us will become aware of these issues in coming weeks.

if curious, call Geniuses with vin and they can investigate to see if afflicted

I never considered the i7 because I do enough trips and do not want the hassle of worrying about charging. It was always the 760 for me.

But after the new design was announced in 2022, I was talking with the service manager at the BMW dealership and he recommended against getting the i7 because of all first year technical glitches that may occur.

The 760 and has some minor ones, but sounds like there’s more with the i7.

Also a 2023 i7 here. Only recall I had was the screw on the steering wheel. They just inspected it and nothing needed to be done.

I was told the brake issue is across many lines of BMW. From what I understand it may be a production issue and they are trying to figure out just how many units are affected.

The other two are available to be performed but as of today the brake booster recall is not currently open.

Those of us subject to the IBS recall should post here as soon as a fix is announced. It would be nice if BMW did that but that's apparently asking too much.

Sorry. Our first two iX had what seemed to be endless recalls

Our 2023 XM got the brake recall letter two weeks ago. Remedy not available. XM was at the dealer getting its first service, and still no brake recall fix yet.

They have 4-5 2023 i7 on the lot right now with big red tags that say DO NOT SELL. RECALL. Fix unavailable!

I just received a brake recall letter today. Actually I may have received the recall a few months back but didn’t read it due to my trading my 760i back in August of 23. The main reason for trading it in was due to the braking behavior. I was told by the service tech that nothing was wrong and that was just the way the car was designed to brake. I may be describing something that is totally different from what the recall is addressing but I just couldn’t get used to the brakes on the car and just figured it was due to its size and weight. It was such a headache to drive in stop and go traffic. So anyway I’ve been waiting to get back into another BMW until I figure out what I wanted. Thought about the 5 series but now I’m really leaning towards the X7. I’m sure the interior won’t feel as high quality as the 7 but I’m pretty sure I will still enjoy it though. The 7 series is a great luxury sedan, I hope BMW gets things sorted out soon.

The X7 to me is much nicer than the 5 in terms of luxury and comfort. Don't get me wrong...the new 5 Series is awesome, but the X7 is more luxurious and posh.

Only negative I have heard about the X7 is that the HVAC is not strong enough and not cold enough on very hot days. I dealt with this on my last two X5s, and it was rough
