Sorry guys. I didn't realize that the feedback I gave the Corvette team was going to push them over the top. It was a great race. It wasn't going to be so close had the PC car leading his class not burnt to the ground with 19min to go. Talk about a bummer, but the final caution made for an exciting finish. Congrats to both teams and thanks to the Turner girls for being pretty

Last one. I wish I could upload the vids that I have. I was on the pit wall and have a ton of pit stop footage.

Does that mean BMW made a bunch of Z4's with V8s and just sold them as racing cars?

It was a great race. RLL finally found the straight-line pace in the GTLM cars they were so sorely missing last year. Sans pit stop and the lawn mowing excursion they'd have taken it. I just hope they don't screwed on the BOP adjustments like last year when they were getting strong in the straights.
It should be a great TUDOR season and seeing the Turner full-kit GT3 in PWC will be badass as well. Can't wait til we FINALLY get full GT3 on track next year.

Tudor uses ACO regulations as a basis, but IMSA puts their own spin on things and makes concessions as they see fit. ACO doesn't let brands get away with as much sh*t, as IMSA does.

Even back when BMW ran the M3 in ALMS. They were allowed to run a larger air restrictor. They also allowed the M3's to mount the rear wing higher on the decklid than the competition, as well as running a larger front splitter/diffuser than that allowed by ACO regulations.

This difference in rules came into play last time BMW showed up at 24hr Le Mans. Running a non-stock double wishbone suspension, in which they were given a conscession for in ALMS. But ACO made them change it just prior to the 24hr race. It pissed BMW off and they havn't been back since.

I was responding to him saying Tudor has no homologation rules, which they do. I'm aware that IMSA doesn't have have the exact same rules since GTD cars are based on GT3 equivalent but they aren't the exact same.

I'm guessing he was complaining about the V8 in the Z4. Several cars have gotten exceptions from FIA for engines not in the production car or displacement.
