I ordered about 25 min into the preorder. Got 10/4-10/10 says "preparing for shipment" but date hasn't changed wonder if that means progress

Realize there are different levels of "water resistance" It doesn't mean waterproof.

Not even remotely water resistant. I had a 6+ in a gym bag on a soccer field, it rained a little bit and water go into the phone. Made nice spots inside the screen and messed up the volume buttons. The amount of water in the pocket was barely enough to get a tissue wet.

Yeah my girlfriend had preparing for shipment and it got shipped a day later. Originally slated for end of the month.

That, wireless charging, and boosted charging are all people like me want. And fucking shatter resistant lol.

iPhone screens are measurably brighter than several Samsung screens. Samsung uses higher resolution, but Apple demands an extremely bright screen an accurate color, something Samsungs can struggle to display. AMOLED screens can look unnatural and too blue, so they have to be overly processed to fix those issues.

Damn my status is still "being processed", sounds like I'll be getting my phone at the later end of estimated shipping timeframe.

went to Tmobile and they had 7 & 7+. Matte black/gloss black. I liked the matte black better. The gloss black had the appearance of plastic to me. Not to mention all the fingerprints from dirty, oily hands on it made it look nasty. I couldn't really get a good look at the finish because it was so dirty with prints. Had to wash my hands right away. uggh

I'll skip it. The better color LCDs in the 7 are only in the 7+. It was obvious on the 7+. The 7's LCD was same color saturation as my 5S. I had the 7 & 7+ side by side and the weather, mail, phone, messaging icons looked more colorful on the 7+.

My phone shipped today and will be here Wednesday. 7+ 128gb matte black on ATT bought thru apple. Originally got quoted 2-3 weeks (10/4-10/10) but will be here 5 days after launch instead so hopefully you guys will get bumped up too

My 7 Plus shipped today. Originally had a 9/30 - 10/6 ship date. Guess they got more stock.

Wish I could say for sure I only started checking after launch day hoping people bought them in person and cancelled their orders. I want to say it changed either Friday or Saturday and got the shipment notification email this morning. Actually it was probably Friday because that's when they charged my card for the phone. People online were saying usually 1-3 days to actually ship then 2day shipping from China. I assume a good batch of them are coming in from China and not just a huge cargo plane with my single phone strapped in lol

Keep an eye on the status. Mine changed to preparing to ship but my delivery date was still saying early October

Was looking at the 7+ yesterday. That thing is not a phone, it's a tablet you can use to make phone calls. I'd like to try Apple Wallet, but you need a 6 or better, so I might upgrade to a 6s. But that's really pushing the size limits for me.
