The old man's 750li m sport

My dad received his 2010 750li m sport yesterday. The dealer told him it was the first 7-er m sport in the states, although I don't know how accurate that is. In any case, that is one beastly car. Even keeping the revs low for the break in, it has more than enough torque to break the rear tires loose....at 40mph...in 5th gear

Cheers to my old man, God knows he deserves it. I'll sneak some pics in when I can.

I highly doubt that it can "break the tires loose at 40mph in 5th gear" let's be real..

Maybe cause the tires haven't been worn in yet... and it was raining.

LOL yeah..in a luxury boat at that.

The new 7 is very impressive. I saw one at the dealership...love the interior.

The front end just looks so much more aggressive than the last gen of 7 even though changes are not that drastic.

Haha yes I should explain that it is sitting on brand new summer tires, and it was well below 40 degrees and raining. That said, yes it was very much breaking traction in 5th gear. Hopefully the weather will clear up and I can snap some pics next weekend. Then again, hopefully my own car will be in by then and I will be snapping pics of it instead.

Nailed it! I am sure it is a great car. I always loved the look of the 00-ish M-sport 740i.

Um, no, your car is not spinning it's tires at 40mph in 5th gear. Neither is your dad's.

I would think the car downshifts to 2nd if you jab the throttle at 50mph. I don't think he literally means the car is locked in 5th and burning out at 50mph. Calm down, people. Stop thinking cause you're on a car forum you're an expert on everything and know the intent of people's thoughts
