Steering assistant cannot be activated

I have been unable to find information on a fix for this online or even a step by step on how to properly use it.

My 2016 750i with 27k miles [IMG][/IMG]keeps showing this message when I press the steering assist button on the steering wheel.

To my understanding the car has to be on cruise control and in the middle of the lane before activating.

What am I doing wrong or is this a part failure.

So I figured this out.

The system will not activate unless your seatbelt is clicked in 👍🏻
