The same way the cigarette companies did. Reality has a liberal bias.

Im surprised this didn’t get more play here.
https://www.npr.org/2024/04/19/12458...celerator-soap Edit: i love this - “This is the second soap-related manufacturing process to make headlines this month. A Boeing supplier recently defended the use of Dawn dish soap as lubricant in assembling door seals in manufacturing jets like the one that lost a door mid-flight.”

Further down on your link:
"Workers at the Volkswagen plant in Chattanooga, Tenn., have voted overwhelmingly to join the United Auto Workers, setting a new trajectory for labor unions in the American South" Hope the workers enjoy the UAW deduction on their paychecks so the local UAW leaders can ride around in new Cadillacs and enjoy their 3 Martini lunches. |

Disposable cars that can't be repaired or recycled because the cost to do so is absurd. The black mass gets landfilled, incinerated when the warehouse or wrecking yard goes kerflooey or shipped to Africa. Do it for Gaia!

A manual transmission can be set to "comfort", "sport", and "track" modes simply by the technique and speed at which you shift it; it doesn't need "modes", modes are for manumatics that try to behave like a real 3-pedal manual transmission. If you can money-shift it, it's a manual transmission. "Yeah, but NO ONE puts an automatic trans shift knob on a manual transmission."

Maybe when I retire I'll pickup the training to be an EV mechanic. It can't be that hard to repair one.

A new University of Michigan study finds that automation and electrification of long-haul trucking can reduce urban health impacts and environmental damages.
https://news.umich.edu/could-automat...ental-impacts/ Since we got a bunch of scientists in this mf.

It is the software/hardware combo that makes them so hard to repair. Well, that and the high voltage. They already can't get enough ICE mechanics, hard to see EV getting better unless they pay sky wages and then you as the customer will pay $250 an hour for them to work on it.

I think in this video he senses the shart. But it hasn’t happened yet. You can see it on his face.

Actually you may want to think twice. I have a good friend with 25+ years of experience fixing all kinds of Japanese and Germany cars and he own his own shop. He recently closed his shop and switch his career to something completely away from automobile at all. I asked him why you switch your career. Simple answer from him. 'There is no future in car repair when EV took over the market'
