At least BMW manufactures it's own bikes:

The story behind the current bike collection.
BMW has been building innovative high-quality bikes for the past 60 years and has been a trailblazer in the industry on more than one occasion. In the 1950s BMW produced its first bicycle made of aluminium, a material that would only become popular in the industry around 30 years later. BMW engineers also played a decisive role in developing the suspension fork when they applied the design of a motorbike suspension fork to a mountain bike. The folding mechanism used on the BMW G Bike at the turn of the millennium also proved to be a pioneering development in the industry. The frames designed by DesignworksUSA for the second and now for the third generation of BMW bike collections are bold design statements.

I bought my BMW cruise bike - not the ///M version about 3 years ago, not intended as a mountain bike or serious road racer but makes for a decent cruiser for the beach, etc.. It's alright, not mad at my purchase.

For $1500 I imagine it is not very impressive! However, if it's a high end bike for $1500 is a steal!

BMW ///M marketing at its finest. Some of you will buy anything that BMW puts out with a ///M emblem lol. This bike quality is subpar. Spend the $1,500 on a proper cycle like Cannondale CAAD 10 or something similar.

I'm sure BMW gives its bike design job to an intern or somebody else there they would ever let touch anything automotive related

Lightbulb NEEDED: Mounting Brackets on the M4's CFRP Roofs!

Some of us live active lifestyles right, and some of us like to do it fast!

BMW M Division engineers need to get this right and start installing Bolts and Mounting Brackets on the M4's CFRP Roofs!

Otherwise what is the point of this "tribute" to the BMW M automobiles: a limited special edition BMW Cruise M-Bike that you can't mount it to your M4, how stupid!

I know everyone automatically thinks "hey the m tax" I did also, but I received this bicycle as a gift from my wife, and I felt horrible she spent the money when I had already eyeballed it on eBay and that other dealer site that had the crazy 50% off Black Friday special.

When I received the bicycle the first thing I did was rush over to the bicycle shop, get the quick release on the wheels switched to Unguard ones which require you to put the bike at a 80 degree angle to unlock it and a lock for the seat, all the guys at the shop surrounded the bike and said pricing was pretty comparable to other bicycles. Went to another shop to purchase a much larger seat as I use my bicycle every day, the gentlemen said the same, priced reasonably. I mentioned retail to these guys 1375. The bicycle gets a lot of looks, and questions, it is very nice in person.

I have rode it a good amount now, this bicycle is very nice, very smooth, the hydraulic brakes are amazing, gear switching is so smooth. You can lock the front shocks on the fly, I lock the shocks all the time when going up hill and I need to stand to push with more force.

Handle bars are a little short to my taste, and the tires do not grip as good, I really want to switch the tires but I like the reflective strip that goes around the tires.

Might paint it mineral white.

I love it and think it is worth the price tag. Here is a picture from day one before the mods...

BMW have removable tow-bars for M cars.

Why have the difficulty of having bikes on the roof. I use BMW's tow-bar and have another tow-bar ordered for our new convertible.

Spring is just beginning in Boston and I've had it out a few times. Its very nice. Actually, at this price including shipping the bike is pretty competitive I think. Yeah, the hydraulic brakes are excellent, as are the 30 speeds which shift very smoothly. The seat did seem hard to me at first at first impressions, but honestly its designed to fit where it needs to and hasn't been an issue whatsoever. I'm 5'9" and debated the 20" frame. My previous bike always seemed a bit too small to me, but I got the 18" at some friend's suggestion and its perfect for me. The seat has a lot of height adjustment too. I also like the shift controls and the feel of hand grips; feels just right. The "Comfort" and "Sport" settings of the front shocks is great too.

Oh - and it matches my 328
Hey im gonna order one this week from them also cause i like the bike and the price ! But im 5"10 so would you recommend the 18 or 20 frame ?? Is there a big difference ? Also do you feel the 20 would have been too big for you ? I ask cause we are the same height have a good day !
