More information on the upcoming 7-Series ActiveHybrid

I know, I know there has been alot of talk of why BMW would take its biggest largest car, with such a big engine and make that into a hybrid. But I look at this as just the first of many cars, and if BMW can make it happen with this car, imagine how good it will be when the technology trickles down.

Regardless, here is a technical PDF file on the details of this car: bmw_concept_7_series_activehybrid_gb_fv.pdf

I might just like the new seven afterall... but only just...

... that front bumper looks way better than the one in the production model. But then again... it was the same thing with the X6 Hybrid concept.

Damn that front looks WAY better than the one in the production model, it makes me think that they make some of the things ugly on purpose.

I wonder how bad a US License plate is going to screw up the aesthetics of the front Hybrid bumper...

The guy who wrote that PDF seriously has to take an English class....

I could relay all that information to the audience in 3 pages. He basically says the same thing over, and over again.... tsk tsk

Awesome design, and I love the new 7's flat bumper rear... real nice and yet again.. different. Totally cool and increasing rear space quite possibly, if they pushed the trunk outward.. or saving space.. ehh. whatever..

It's an improvement over the current 7 but I still prefer the lines of the E38. Call me crazy.

LOL, snap! I was thinking the same thing

Seriously though this design is growing on me more and more each day and the more angles I see it from. Call me crazy, but I think this is a seriously beautiful car, but one of those designs that takes 2-3 years to fully appreciate. And that in my opinion is the requirement of a design with longevity.

I love the front bumper....!
Everytime I look at the new 7 series, I understand as to why they have gone with this design. In simple terms, it's a evolution of the previous design. It's growing on me day by day.

Thanks for sharing op.....this 7 series active hybrid is going to be awesome!

I am confused

This is the exact same technology in the current Caddilac Escalde.

So if it is, why is BMW not already introducing this in current cars?
