730d xdrive UK Order

Just placed the order last week, on the basis that the dealer can use one of their slots and have the car delivered early October.

730d xdrive Magellan grey

I also added the following options:

- advanced parking
- Heat comfort
- Seat ventilation
- driving assistant plus

The 0% finance deal by BMW at the moment made it a simple choice to go for a new 730

Scrap that - just heard from the dealer that the delivery date has been put back to the end of the year, from early October?!

Has anyone else had big changes to build/delivery dates recently?

Yep, I think BMW is going down the pan!

Just had my dealer, who promised me a loan car whilst my car is being built, is now arguing when the beginning of September is! complete joke. What really pisses me off is that I get zero insight into the build process, unlike what the americans seem to get.

I guess its ultimately my fault as I should of cancelled when things started going wrong with the original order and the dealer (Spire Borehamwood)

Would you be able to get an earlier build slot from another dealer?

Had a call this afternoon and delivery is now week 43. Am waiting for an order confirmation and screen print of BMW system (showing delivery) before deciding what to do next

I was thinking about adding the head up display as a further option but will wit and see

I had HUD in my 6er and don't miss it on the 7. I guess is personal preference.

The full lcd dash and idrive give some much info I didn't feel the need.

Hi, my first ever post so bear with me. I signed upto this site as back in July I ordered a new 730d. My current lease runs out Sept 16th and I aksed for a Sept delivery which of course they said yes. Once deposit paid and build date given it was for delivery to dealer w/c 28th Nov

I kicked off with dealer and they managed to get it to w/c 24th Oct - I'm arguing with them to give me a loan car but they don't seem to want to help. they have given me this weekend to decide if I want to cancel and they will refund deposit - not sure what to do.
Delaer is Eastern in Edinburgh (and I live in Essex :-) )

Dealer reckons he checked for cancellations and free build slot but none or the few that are will have amega spec so priced to match

I think you just have to decide how much you want it (like me but I'm not so far along). I'm suspecting at some point my delivery date will be put back, but if that happens I'll cancel (or I think I will at the moment :-) ) because I will feel that I've been string along (hence the request for a screen print of the order in the BMW system with build date)

Thanks, I didn't even think about it going backwards!!! Delaer won;t promise but says it might even be a week earlier - it is a great deal though only hesitation is the size of the thing I used to have an F10 535d M-sport and this thing is another 20cm longer! Anyway will use this weekend to see if the local dealers have anything to offer. Good luck with your btw

Update

SO I checked with local dealers and none have any cars without massive spec I can get sooner. They are saying it was quiet Q2 but with the offers they now have a lot of 7's on order. Staying with my order and fingers crossed it comes earlier not later

Mine started last Monday and finished today (in terms of what I could track via the vin number). had 0001-01-01 for build date for a week and today has 2016 -09-19.
