Wouldn't surpise me. LV is no joke. Caps cannot try to match them in a speed vs. speed wide open game, they'll let in 6+ goals every night trying to do that. They need to check, check, then check some more and clog up the neutral zone like they did against TB, and Holtby needs to be god-like if they want to win. If they can't do all of those things, they'll be lucky to make it to game 6.

This is more my point. Only reason people are talking about the Wilson one is because Wilson was the player delivering the hit. Lots of missed calls on both sides.

Still - I'm looking forward to Wednesday.

It will be interesting to see how both teams adjust to this game. I would have put money on the Caps in a run and gun game like that. Willing to say next game will be a 2-1 score...either team winning...I'd bet $$$ on it anyway.

Agree it was a hair late, hence the interference minor penalty that was called. Everyone is freaking out because it's Tom Wilson. If that hit were applied by Jay Beagle to Ryan Reaves we're not even talking about it.

Caps are going to have to be a lot more aggressive on the forecheck, Ovi has to play like a man possessed (like he did against TB game 6 and 7), Caps need to clog the NZ, and Holtby has to be a brick wall from here on out, otherwise they don't stand a chance. If you give LV room to operate they are lethal 5v5 or on the power play.

Sorry, no formula will work. Everybody has tried all season. Kings and Jets are hard checking physical teams and look at how they just got dominated.

Yep I know, LV is an absolute buzzsaw right now. I will not be surprised if they sweep, Caps will be 0-8 in the Stanley Cup Finals.

This series has some of the worst officiating I've ever seen in an NHL game. My favorite one tonight was the Brooks Orpik phantom 'check to the head' two minute minor.

I could barely breathe by the end of the second period, so I went to the gym to get a break. I can't hold my breathe for 6 minutes between whistles!!!

Vegas needs to shoot the puck more. Create some rebounds.

Cant believe Tuch didnt tuck this one in to tie the game with under 2 mins left in the third... Holtby made an unbelievable stop and Tuch was more concerned with making contact/aim than finessing the puck into an basically empty net (as he should have been!)

Pretty excited this is now a best of five series. Back to back games in Washington are going to be tough, hoping for a split and back to Vegas to start the best of three - exactly one week from today.
