F10 M5 brake conversion for the F01/F02/F07 Chassis

Ok so I know that you need a bracket for the front brakes which I have but what about the rear? I know the rotors from an M4 match our 370x24 mm rear rotor but what about using the M5 rear caliper because I want to keep the e brake option working, I heard someone did it but dont think they used an M4 rear rotor with the M5 rear caliper, so i assume that the f10 m5 rotor and caliper will fit, what about offset ?
Thanks in advance!

I'm in the same boat, looking to do a BBK to my newly acquired 2014 F01. I see that BMW offers a factory BBK upgrade for the G11 & G12 which is reasonably priced. Would like to know if someone had done it or is possible. Part#34112289348.

What would the installation of the G11/G12 BBK upgrade be since the F01/F02/F07 rotors are the same size as the G11/G12, would they just fit right on there? So the rear electronic brake would work normally too?

I know that the front brackets would work for the F01/F02/F07 but Im not sure if the rears would work, or if the electronic brake would work normally too, but since the people with F10 550i didn't use a bracket when adding the F10 M5 rear rotors/calipers but Id like to know how these rear brackets would work for the F01/F02/F07 rear rotors and calipers (and elec. e-brake), see the link below

Was searching around for brake threads and found this lol. I had bought the calipers in that ebay link and learned the hard way. I fitted them on my F10 but the same will apply for F01 etc. The front calipers themselves mount up but will not work due to a design change of the hub. BMW went from 5x120 to 5x112 bolt pattern, therefore the brake pad of the G11 caliper interferes with the hub, it also was not centered on the rotor itself, but a washer or spacer could have fixed that.

On a side note, I am in the process in attempting X5M/X6M front brakes on my F10. For whats its worth, from my testing, it appears that F10, F06, F01 front carrier is the same and all brake components should interchange.

Ok, thanks for the info!

If your doing an upgrade to your F10 brakes, why not use the M5 F10 brakes instead of the X5M/X6M brakes?

FYI I just listed my GT for sale on eBay https://www.ebay.com/itm/2010-BMW-5-...o/163050847095

Cheers!

F10 M5 brakes require an adapter front and rear which cost almost as much as my calipers and while they are nicer and have more pistons up front at least, they are also very pricey for me. I bought X5M front calipers for a good price and rebuilt them myself and they just bolt on to the F10 without an adapter. I did need a small 4mm spacer between the F10 knuckle and caliper due to the offset of the X5M rotor. X5M front brake rotors are massive as well at 395mm vs 400mm of the M5. Im sure they will also stop my 535xi just as well.

And I believe the F10 uses a different ebrake system than an F01 because the F10 has the electric motor on the rear caliper while the F01 does not.

Question

I would like to know how you got the X5M calipers to fit being that they are 74mm bore instead of the 72.65 of the f10. did you just wing it and bolt her down and move on? can't use a hub centric ring spacer because then the wheel will not fit.
