What are these buttons for? Active Cruise Control/Lane Shifting?

And the rear of the car looks a lot subdued in these pics vs. some of the other pics I've seen recently. It doesn't look half bad in these pics. Which is why I want to see the car in real life before I make any comments like... "UGLY", "Is this Chris Bangle?", "Is this supposed to be a re-design?", or my favorite ""

VS.

I like it , but the rear really needs bigass tailpipes...those small ones on 730d look ridiculous...they should do what audi did with 3.0tdi , two big ones each on one side , so yeah Im looking forward to 760iL or M7 or whatever

Wow, why can't they get the 7 right anymore?

I'ts been severely butchered since 2002. It's a shame since it's probably an amazing car to drive.

High quality it may be but it still looks like one big amorphous blob........

Oh, and the look on the guys' face in the back seat is timeless- seems like he feels the same way about the the 7's new looks...

current 7 series is an AMAZING machine, i drove in it couple of times and interior isn't that bad either , i would take current 2007-08 version over the 09.there isn't that big of an improvment on the current 7 that it makes me feel like that someone should spend that much money on that car just because its 09.

Okay this is a huge improvement over the current 7er in every way, except some may bar looks (entirely subjective - I think this is far better and more cohesive).

I just want people to notice all the little things they took the time to do with this car (which we can now see thanks to these high-res photos). Look at how they incorporated the angel eyes within the xenon units now; they're no longer floating rings. Also note the quality of the interior, hell, look at the support bars for the headrest in the back seat behind the man, they're HUGE. Don't forget those freakin' hot wheels.

The one part of the car that I'm not 100% excited about is the taillight section. I'm sure it'll look better in RL, but I'm not crazy about the lipstick-redness of them.

Front looks okay I guess. The rest looks weird, like my ballsack on a cold morning.

That BMW Dynamic Xenon decal is so tacky, so are those fucking lame sidefendermarkermajiggers.
