Could they have chosen a nastier looking wood?? Other interior treatments surely look better!

I like the exterior though...

I like the rear, but the front kidneys are too large and the license plate looks like too much of an afterthought; the bumper doesn't really impress me either.

Shouldn't the Hofmeister Kink be more pronounced? I remember chuckling at a japanese car recently (I can't remember which, maybe Lexus?) that had the rear window mimicking the kink, and now even the BMW's looks like a ripoff since they just curved it too gently.

These are old but the interior is very accurate, they are from a pre-production supplier mock up as is the engine.
Notice there are no interior door grabs.... (auto close).
The exterior is about 90% correct.
There should be a Hoffmeister kink echo in the sheet metal. The lights and bumpers are off as well.

The official reveal will be on 7/7/08 (so we have been told).

Here is some more info to the new 7

Looks like a horrible PS. I hope the final product will be better. Looks like a Lexus from the back.

I think that it is a step in the right direction. I have never been a fan of the 7-series, but I like how it is getting to be both more aggressive up front and more conservative at the back. The contrast is necissary.

Headlights look Asian. It's turning Japanese...I really think so.

The more I look at it the less horrific it looks. I'll have to reserve judgement until the real 7 comes out and see it in person. The business of making the headilghts, taillights and grills bigger just seems a bit drastic for now, but who knows? We'll probably get used to it in time. It just doesn't have that instant appeal to me.

Maybe BMW is trying to distance itself from the Pontiac BMW-wannabe front end look.

this vehicle seriously suffer from huge nostril syndrome.

I see the 1 series grill in here. It might work for the 1 series, but it's definitely gross for the 7~

the side profile looks kinda bland and the rear looks super strange. they need to do something to rival the CLS but bigger. that would be a seller for sure
