You sold your 2003 lambo last year, and
You registered at this forum on January 2010 as SamLAMBO.
damn,
you do want everyone to know you are SAM PREVIOUSLY KNOWN as a 2003 Lambo owner

You paid US$220,000 for your 730Li,
but bottom line is it is still a PETITE 6 Cylinder 730Li (the one without 730Li badge) and
not a 750Li or 760Li, right ?

You said you love the way it drives and looks,
and I bet you are so PROUD it have M bit's on it thus the M BADGES,
good for you, but apparently you are NOT PROUD that it is just a 730Li

My car is a cheapo cheapo car, but I am NOT "embarrassed" with the badges
hey, I am NOT SELF DENIAL

Sameer (that's your real name right ?),
just want to ask how do you enjoy the horsepower (or lack of it) of your PETITE 730Li ?

Only 259hp ? ah the NON Turbo Naturally Aspirated 3.0 engine,
I am sure you enjoy the LACK of power, did you ?

oh by the way,
now I understand why you prefer to use the name "SAMlambo" ,
instead of "SAMEERlambo",
the logic is more or less the same as debadging your 730Li

Here is your own admission that you are EMBARRASSED with your 730Li looks,
and want this car to looks like a 740Li and UP (did UP means 750Li/760Li ?)

Yes, on Hamann website it was shown to be for 740Li,
but I am pretty sure the basic height leveling
system on both 740Li and your 730Li is the same
http://www.hamann-motorsport.com/en/...02/suspension/

I also remember we had discuss about lowering your car on this thread:
http://www.7post.com/forums/showthre...=376215&page=2

if you want your car lowered, it can be done.

another Li owner with self leveling suspension and the discussion about programming the rear self leveling to match
the front:
http://www.7post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=328795
Thanks for your detailed reply. I would have to check with the dealership on the rear lowering rather than adding in the hardware(warranty). I will give them a ring on Monday to ask if they can or are willing to do it. The AC springs in your link looks a bit to low, I think it drops more than the Eibach prokit but according to what others have reported like you, it's suppose to be the same drop. Will keep you updated.

Ive kind of lurked and watched this, and btw, am a new 750Li owner and love it. I personally debadge all my vehicles. It is just preference. I have a 2008 X5 with the 4.8 logos off as well. If you really want to know the displacement, then you should understand that you can look at the exhaust. I personally dont like the M badge, and wouldnt have it, but this is not my 7 either. Sam is the guy that drives this one, and its up to him what he does with it regardless of anyone elses thoughts. We cant ALL do the same cosmetic and powerplant upgrades as then it ceases to be indiviualistic at all .
BTW... my 750 is badgeless, and beautiful.

Too Much

wow some very opinionated people on this forum.

I just joined having come back to the BMW family after a 10 year hiatus. I previously owned M3's and M5's in the 90's until BMW went to the SMG transmission and didn't have a true manual for the M5 for a time. I bailed and went to Mercedes AMG and have been quite happy. However the new 7 series looked so good and my wife's S550 was due to be retired so she test drove the 750i at my insistence and she really loved the ride in comparison to driving a plush sofa (S550 ) so I'm baaack. I pick up the car on Saturday and will post a pic or two but it's the 750i xDrive with cold weather, Premium Sound, Luxury Seats, Driver assist, ceramic controls and upgraded wheels. The test drive was spirited to say the least.

Back to the current controversy build your car as you see fit. Enjoy it and your distractors can and should kiss your...muffler tips

Sam,
When you installed the Hamann exhaust, did it fit in the existing openings from the stock exhaust or did you have to modify them? Thanks

Oh my cut samlambo some slack guys, i guess he likes to have the M badge, its his personal preference. As long as it sings for him, i don see the problem. But as for me i like my rear end to be clean too. I debadge my 320i badge too and if I get the E90 M3 which I hope to get by next year, the M3 badge gonna come off as well.

But on another naughty tot however im tinking of slapping the 318i badge on the e90 M3 haa haa. Gonna smoke unsuspecting performance cars at the lights and leave 'em scratching their heads on how a 318i could have smoked 'en for ppl who tot its just converted m3 with a 318 engine haa haa!

The cars nice. I would def not remove any chrome stripping. I honestly would not have removed the 7 series badge and replaced it with the M badge. I want people to know Its a seven series regardless of the engine. And not everybody knows this, specially not women. I wouldnt lower the car but I would get bigger wheels if I were to use something aftermarket, if not i would just keep the stocks. Just my opinion.

Nice 7....I agree the wheels diameter is too small for such a large sedan with large wheel wells..22` or 21`s should be the prerequisite on the F01`s

Things about the M badge....people who own and admire BMWs know that there is no ///M version of the 7 series so they will probably call you out on it or will laugh at you...

People who dont know anything about BMWs (almost everyone admires BMWs) including chics they dont know what the ///M badge implies in the 1st place...so it does more damage to your reputation than anything....

Don't sweat it. It's your car and I think it's fine. It doesn't say the M7 or something. I wouldn't do it, but I surely see your point.
